Hi, I want to buy insurance for my mother who will travel from India to US the next month. The reliance General Senior Standard policy says maximum age covered is 70 years. What if the insured turns 71 during his/her stay of 5 months. Please explain the age factor. The other question is will the policy state upfront that it covers emergencies arising out of pre-existing conditions. Looking forward to your response. Thanks, Deepti

Dear Sir, I have subscribed to ICICI Lomabard for medical insurance policy since last 6 years renewable every two years for total of Rs. 5.0 lacs. Three years ago I availed the medical hospitalization for my wife and at that time the total premium used to be around Rs. 1200/month for our 4 family members including me (52 years), my wife (49 years) and two kids of 9 and 15 years at that time. During Jan. 2010 when the renewable was due company loaded the premium since we availed the claim for my wife and the premium works out to be around Rs. 2000/month as insurance company felt that the ailment may be re-occurring. During this time of two years I have not taken any claim as my wife is quite fine. I would like to know if company will reduce my premium since there is no claim within the last 2 years when the renewal is due during Jan. 2012 ? RAJEEV
