It was the 4th day of December, 2000, when IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Company or ITGI, came into existence. The insurance company is a co-operative undertaking which is a collaboration of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-Operative (IFFCO) along with its associates and Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire group, which is the largest listed insurance company of Japan.
